Blue light is part of the visible spectrum (380–500nm). While some blue light helps regulate our circadian rhythm, high-energy short-wave blue light (415–455nm) can cause eye strain and disrupt sleep.
Blue light blocking glasses work by using special coatings or base materials to filter out this harmful spectrum. However, they are not a cure for myopia.
For the best protection, choose products that meet safety standards and avoid overly dark lenses. Ultimately, the 20-20-20 rule—taking a break every 20 minutes—is the most effective way to maintain healthy vision.
